The Blythe dolls that were exhibited at the 2008 Anniversary Event at Omotesando Hills, VenusFort in Odaiba, Shinjuku Marui, Yurakucho Marui, and Kobe Marui, and the finalist dolls from the 3rd Blythe Beauty Contest were all auctioned off for the charity.
A total of 7,454,105 yen was raised.
As always, 100% of the proceeds will be given to the Japan Transplant Support Association.
The theme that brought together this year’s charity auction was “fairy tales”. The doll designers and artists revisualized through Blythe, the stories “Anne of Green Gables”, “Hansel and Gretel”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “The Nutcracker”, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, “Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There”, “Rapunzel”, “The Little Mermaid.”
In addition to this, the finalists from the Blythe Beauty Contest were also exhibited and auctioned for charity.
This year’s charity auction took place on Crown Jewel fashion exclusive auction site, and all of the 94 dolls were auctioned off.
