Junko Wong (CEO of the CWC Group, Creative Producer)

Born in USA, Junko Wong is the CEO of the creative agency Cross World Connections (CWC) in Tokyo and CWC International in New York. CWC is a licensee of Blythe and holds the license of Blythe in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. As the creative producer, Junko Wong is one of the pioneers that brings back Blythe to the mainstream with the creation of Neo Blythe. Neo and Petite Blythe is designed under Junko's creative direction, her vision leads to the manufacturing and marketing of Blythe and all Blythe merchandise in Asia. Junko Wong established Cross World Connections in 1991 and CWC International in 1999 after working as a freelance curator and organizer for art events since 1986.
She is known for introducing CWC's artists and characters to all over the world through two offices in Tokyo and New York, and she runs and produces the shop "Junie Moon" in Daikanyama, Tokyo. In February 2009, the handmade specialties boutique "LeLe by Junie Moon" opened in Shinkuku Marui One. Growing up in Hawaii, Junko's vision and energy is informed by the Aloha spirit and hula. She teaches hula under the school name, Na Pua Liko Wai Ho'ola, which means the flowers that bloom in the water of life. In January 2008, she published "Na Wahine 'Auli'i," a photo book of Blythe depicting Hawaiian mythology and legends distributed through Graphic Sha Publishing.
